I still feel like this game could be so much more. It's a good game, maybe even great in some ways, but I feel like it still has design flaws, and multiplayer isn't as smooth or enjoyable as it could be. But I'm glad Potato is playing it.

Are you aware that one of the advertisements interspersed in your video is hateful rhetoric about there only being two genders? It trots out a teenager who is blandly reading off cards and honestly doesn't even necessarily seem to hold the convictions he's stating, asking us to sign a pledge about it. I don't assume that you necessarily had anything to do with this ad selection but it is very concerning as an LGBTQ+ ally to see this bigoted nonsense plastered into the ad spots in your video, as I've always loved your videos and had the impression from them that you are a tolerant, accepting person. Thanks for this video and creating this monthly challenge, but I sincerely hope you had nothing to do with that ad spot being selected.

does using mods disable steam achievement?

I haven't played a ton of millennia, but the one major issue I have with it (other than its shit multiplayer functionality) is that you loose all the bonuses from your government as soon as you level it up - which just feels really shitty, especially if you are relying on the bonuses for your strategy (e.g. kingdom's vassal buffs). It would feel so much better even just getting a legacy trait when you change governments that kept some vestige of the bonuses, and having the government stick around like national spirits wouldn't be much of an issue in my opinion.

The funny thing about the stone spirit units is that their actually a bit nerfed from AoW3 because in that game the upgraded versions could stun you instead of pinning you.

As a west island Kiwi living in Sydney South Africa Schoolboy Rugby is top level comparing to Australia and New Zealand. The passion of the support however for the 3 nations ive witnessed personally is pretty similar with the schools with a few cultural differences. You should look up Kings College v Auckland Grammar haka. Pretty impressive.

Is it just me or does the eldritch ruler feel less powerful compared to almost every other leader?

First time I managed to beat 2 full armies with only one of mine at early game with no damage on my team at all. Tentacles are OP alongside mind control and insanity. It blew my mind how different the game felt but in a good way compared to the previous Dlcs where I had to learn the game again but it wasn't fun. It felt like I did everything wrong. Here I feel in control (literally) with those new control spells and it feels great from the start. At first, I feared the umbral abyss would end up like a chore, having to deal with damage every turn and no regen. But troops are more durable now and you have solutions for it easily without the need for a specific trait or having to prepare for it first. You just go there, fight stuff, grab the juicy rewards and explore new shortcuts to the surface. It feels more like mini dungeons rather than just another underworld. Really well put together. Adds a lot of chaos the way you travel the map now.

Does anyone have a solution for the massive number of mountains in this game? Also, the «massive map» official mod just seems to spread everything (enemy spawns, places of interest, resources) out a lot, which really defeats the purpose.

Hey Potato! Just want to add my two cents. Seems like a few people are so i get it if this jusy gets lost in the sauce or whatever. 1) you say you dont find multiplayer fun. Thats entirely fair. If thats how you feel I cant blame you. 2) you mentioned no backseating and that you want to learn in your own and I definitely think that a series that covered your rise from a multiplayer noob to something much better would be an insanely good set of videos, especially now that civ has been out for so long youve covered so much of thr single player territory 3) The CWC is on and just passed the group stage! Your videos with OnSpot are some of my favourites on either of your channels. I know people have mentioned this to you already but id personally love to see more of that content and it could blend with a multiplayer direction/angle if you plan to do this even semi-regularly. Either way, hope your enjoying whatever you do! Just a little feedback, dont mean to be demanding or anything! Cheers!

My wish for civ 7 is that multiplayer isnt a truly awful experience where it takes 4 hours to play 20 turns as the crashes, relobbies, more crashes, and quits from 2+ hours of crashes make the game unplayable. It shouldnt be that hard for a turn based game
